One Tree Planted is an environmental non-profit dedicated to global reforestation and land restoration. Its work prioritizes degraded landscapes, climate critical regions, and key biodiversity areas essential to ecological balance and community resilience. You can learn more about them at https://onetreeplanted.org/
While we are a game development studio focused on building virtual worlds, we also wanted to make a difference in the real world. This is why we are supporting One Tree Planted, an environmental non-profit dedicated to global reforestation and land restoration.
We’ve created a bespoke collection of in-game cosmetics, and the proceeds generated from this collection will enable One Tree Planted to support tree planting and protect our environment. This collection, named Under the Canopy, is inspired by the critical role trees play in protecting, sheltering, and nurturing all life on earth.
So when you purchase the Growing Together Bundle, or the Supporter Pack, or any items from the Under the Canopy collection in the Backer Boutique (Loftia’s in-game cosmetic shop), you will not only be supporting the development of Loftia, but also contributing to regenerating critical ecosystems in need of help, via One Tree Planted’s projects.
At launch, a copy of the base game of Loftia will be priced at US$24.89 in the United States. There will be regional pricing available for the base game, and for each of the additional packs and bundles mentioned below.
The Supporter Pack is an optional add-on to the base game, priced at US$19.99 in the US. It will grant you in-game cosmetic items and a cute robot pet that will follow you around in Loftia: Greeny! We donate 25% of the price of every Supporter Pack purchased to One Tree Planted.
For example, if you are in the US and you buy the Supporter Pack for US$19.99, we will donate US$5 to One Tree Planted. Due to regional pricing, the price and amount donated per Supporter Pack will vary depending on your country.
The Growing Together Bundle is a pack that bundles together the base game, the Supporter Pack, and the Loftia Soundtrack, priced at US$49.87 in the US at launch. This bundle donates the same US$5 as the Supporter Pack (if sold in the US), or 10% of the bundle price.
This 10% percentage can vary slightly based on whether there are active discounts.
We also donate from some purchases made in Loftia’s Backer Boutique, which is the in-game shop with more cosmetic items available. At Early Access launch, the Backer Boutique will contain cosmetics priced at between US$2 - $4 per item, and up to US$8 for a bundle of a full outfit (with regional pricing also available).
Some bundles in the Backer Boutique form part of our Under the Canopy collection. This Under the Canopy collection will contain items that we have created specifically to support One Tree Planted. 20% of net revenue generated from this collection is donated to One Tree Planted.
Net revenue is what you spend on the cosmetics, minus taxes and any platform fees that we must pay. The final donation amount can differ when purchased in different countries due to variation in regional prices and tax laws, however the 20% figure holds steady regardless of region.
Loftia has officially pledged to donate a minimum of US$50,000 to One Tree Planted’s initiatives within the first 12 months of our Early Access launch, however we hope to surpass this figure and support the planting of even more trees!
Initially we will donate to the Kenya - Dundori Reforestation project. This project will grow more than 12 different indigenous tree types, contributing to enhanced water infiltration, improved stream and spring volume and also water quality through the reduction of sedimentation in streams and the lakes. As our player support continues to grow, so will the number of projects we support around the world.
