Loftia is a game suitable for all ages! In fact, over 85% of Loftia's community are between the ages of 18 - 45.
Early Access will launch on Nov 3, 2026 at 1pm EST.
Upon initial release, Loftia will officially support Steam, for both Mac and PC. Nintendo Switch will come later! Beyond the initial release, we will aim to officially support additional platforms. Loftia will be playable with controller / gamepad, in addition to keyboard and mouse, and will also support the Steam Deck upon Early Access launch.
Our Early Access release will be digital-only. A physical release might be something we make available in the future!
Cross-play is something we're aiming for! We're currently conducting research and testing to help us decide if we can support it. We can't promise it just yet - but know that we will try our best to make it happen, and will let everybody know when we make a decision.

Solarpunk is a genre that imagines a future where humanity and our environment live together in harmony. It's been a key source of inspiration for our development of Loftia, from the very beginning.
Loftia is an MMO game, short for "Massively Multiplayer Online" (though, since we are a small indie studio, we like to think of ourselves as more of a "Mediumly Multiplayer Online" game).
This means that the world of Loftia exists in a persistent, online space that large numbers of players can experience together, all at the same time. You'll be able to enjoy Loftia together, with all of your friends - both old and new!
Yes, you'll be able to play with as many friends as you'd like!
Loftia can be enjoyed both solo, and together with others - it's completely up to you! Playing alone will not block your progress in the game, and you'll still be able to enjoy almost all of the content as everybody else.
While we know how much you all love our characters, Loftia will not feature romance options at this stage. For now, you'll be able to build friendships with everyone in the game, and NPC friendships is a feature that we're planning to add to the game soon!

Yes! Like all MMOs, Loftia will have servers to accommodate a large number of players at the same time. Only players on the same server will be able to play together, but you will not be locked to any server, so you can join your friends whenever you want.
Loftia is an MMO game, where you will need to be online to play, no matter what platform you are playing on.
Note that to play online games on the Switch, Nintendo requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership ($20 per year in the US).
Please check our Steam page for details on our system requirements. We're still working hard on optimizing the performance of the game, so we expect to improve the game to run better on even older computers, over time.
Loftia will be buy-to-play.
Loftia has no subscription to play. Once you purchase Loftia, you are welcome to play as long as you like.
Note: some platforms may have subscription requirements, for example, Nintendo requires a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online in order to play online games.
We have no plans for paid DLC or expansions. We will be frequently updating the game during Early Access and beyond, and new content will be free for everybody who owns the game.
The Early Access base price will be $29.99 in the US, with regional pricing available. We will also have a limited-time launch discount of 17%, bringing the price down to $24.89. There will also be an in-game shop with optional cosmetics.
Loftia will have optional microtransactions and a season pass, but only for cosmetics. You'll only need to pay once to access all gameplay within Loftia! We've invested everything that we can into Loftia to build out the game of our dreams. However, game development, especially when it comes to MMOs, is an extremely intensive process that requires a huge amount of resources. As such, Loftia will need to be purchased, as it is simply impossible for us to continue developing and maintaining the game without any income.

Yes! At Early Access launch, we will be supporting these following languages: English, German, French, Chinese (Simplified), Spanish (ES), Spanish (LATAM), Portuguese (BR), Japanese, Korean, Italian, Indonesian, Russian, Thai, and Turkish. We are looking to add even more languages after our Early Access release, including Chinese (Traditional), Polish, and more.
Nope! You won't have a set gender, and you'll be able to customize your character however you like.
